About Me

Hello, I’m Yiming.

I am currently pursuing an MSCD (Master of Science in Computation Design) at Carnegie Mellon University. I expect to graduate in May 2025. My research focuses on responsive architecture, exploring how adaptive materials, structures, and robotics can dynamically interact with their environment and occupants. I aim to create spaces that evolve based on users' needs and environmental changes by integrating Detection, Learning, and Responding. This includes investigating the role of architectural robotics and human-robot interaction in shaping dynamic, user-centered environments, bridging computational design, and architectural practice to develop innovative solutions for responsive and adaptive spaces.
